2015 Conference Student Testimonial:
I just wanted to thank you again for your cold reading workshop. Out of every NYSTEA workshop I've attended throughout the past two years, yours included the most real-life information, because you were truthful about the nature of the industry, which I appreciated greatly. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in your class, and loved how it was intense for every single second of the 90 minute time slot. You gave an intense, realistic, engaging workshop, that definitely gave me a clearer understanding of the film/television industry.

Thank you,
Lizzie Soufleris

NYSTEA 2017 Student Testimonials
Congratulations Sasha Ernst and Taylor West, recipients of the 2016 MCAS Student Recognition Award

Sasha is a gifted, intelligent and endlessly impressive student who goes above and beyond on a regular basis. Her resume boasts several acting credits, such as CB's Sister in "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead," to directing her high school's musical "The Pajama Game" and stage managing Excelsior Theatre's "Spring Awakening." An AP track student in the 75th percentile of her class, Sasha has maintained a 95.04 GPA and has received the AP Scholar Award, Brady-Boisits Award, Sigmund Freud/Mary Calkins Award, and SEA-BBS Scholarship to name just a few. This Fall she will matriculate at DEAN College in Massachusetts as a member of the Theatre-Acting Program and Honors Program, but not before studying the fundamentals of the HB technique at HB Studios this summer.

Taylor is a spark of gold from the second she walks on stage; her senior class hit the nail on the head when they voted her "Most likely to be famous" at their annual senior banquet. Taylor has performed solos at show choir's Jazz Night and starred as Sharpay in her high school's production of "High School Musical." Taylor is taking her talent, skill, education, and career to the next level this Fall, when she will begin her Theatre studies at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Taylor just recently returned from traveling to Mexico and plans to spend the rest of the summer going on trips with her family and putting in hours at her job at American Eagle.
